We invite creators of underground, little-known, crude or sophisticated fiction films,
Low Budget, in analogue format, short films, feature films, which tell us imaginative stories, fantastic scenarios, a fresh and unpredictable way of seeing the world.
Aurora Film is dedicated exclusively to fiction, but some exceptions can be made at the discretion of the curators.
The Aurora Film Festival takes place during the summer in the Ex Cinema Arena Aurora in San Potito Sannitico, Italy.
and wants to encourage independence and daring underground film productions.
Aurora for us means new beginning, starting from scratch, leaving behind the old and the known for a new beginning. This is how we see the art of cinema, no matter the budget.

IV Aurora Film Festival 2023

Cinema Arena Aurora is a open air cinema with a romantic old time flare, and Aurora Film Festival want to inject pure energy into it and bring it back to life.
In August 2022 the second edition of Aurora FF will take place, again in the magic old open air cinema in the village of San Potito Sannitico, Italy.
We will have four days of free screenings, giving visibility to daring fantastic independent short and long movies, from Italy and the World.

This year the program will have again a unique format, divided into 4 parts:
The Cine-Forum, Opening night introducing one classic feature chosen by the public, combined with the movie receiver of a Special Mention by Aurora FF 2022; The "theme" of the current Edition will be revealed.
A two days projections of Aurora FIlm Festival2023 with national and international selected movies that will certainly create an amazing experience.
A closing day with a selection of musical videos and animation from Aurora 2023

Aurora Film Festival 2023, in which we exhibite the Italian and international films selected for this year's edition, with no subdivisions of genre, but distributing the most unusual and provocative contents in foreign languages in the second part of the two evenings.
