The failed Viennese musicologist Szabo works as an animal carer and house sitter for wealthy people. But when visited by his successful, younger ex-colleague Fitzthum, a rare parrot, which he should guard, escapes him. Szabo sees his already precarious life in shambles, but Fitzthum has a brilliant idea and together they go out in search of a doppelganger of the precious animal.

Vincenzo is a young Calabrian man who lives in a little seaside town, Schiavonea, a receiving place for immigrants. On the other hand Ayana is one of this immigrants, just landed there, which found herself temporarily limited into a fish market turned up into a reception center. One day Vincenzo goes to this market to buy some fresh seafood, but the meeting with the girl will seal their fate.

The ninety-year-old Arturo is used to being alone and his days pass as a pensioner. One day a newspaper that advertises cameras comes into his hands. The seagull that he chose as a subject, however, seems to have a completely different idea about perfect photography.
